Georgia Better Marriages is facilitating a marriage retreat at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church, just north of Atlanta, Georgia. On Friday evening, couples will enjoy dessert and coffee while learning key concepts of marriage enrichment, particularly couple dialogue. On Saturday, couples will choose two one and a half hour workshops lead by Georgia Better Marriage couples. The workshops being offered are:

How Do I Say I Love You?
Led by Rev. Greg and Lydia Meadows
In 1992 Gary Chapman penned the book The 5 Love Languages and it created a way to crack the code of relationships. In this workshop we will introduce thoughts from the book, take the 5 love language survey and have conversation about how we say l love you!

Essential Conversations for a Lifetime of Love
Led by Rev. Jack and Lana Snellgrove
Couples will have the opportunity to engage in a conversation about their relationship today and in the future. They will learn the helpful skill of asking each other powerful questions and sharing honestly with answers to enrich and enhance their relationship.

Conflict Management and the Power of Apology
Led by Pat and Julian Harwell
From time to time, disagreement and conflict will occur in even the most loving of relationships. The good news is that when conflict is managed well, it can lead to greater understanding and closeness. This workshop is designed to provide practical insights for maintaining affection and respect while navigating the twists and turns of conflict and disagreement.

Putting Fun Back into Marriage
Led by Revs. Zack and Leigh Martin
Marriage is work, but it should be fun too. During this workshop, we will explore different ways we can make time together more enjoyable. We will discuss obstacles and map out a plan to add more moments of fun into our everyday marriage.
